Desc: DonInLondon Archive 2007 - Day In the Life of a Recovering Alcoholic. Being in recovery from alcohol has helped me reclaim my life. Alcoholics Anonymous is integral to my ongoing recovery. I have a new life and better choices because I keep safe and in good company and in contact with fellows in recovery. Today I have life choices, something I had missed for a long time. This is a personal journey, I may share about AA, I never speak for AA, just for myself. Long may it be so a day at a time. DonInLondon - Day In The Life, one day at a time..

Desc: Secular Traditions As Don Sees Them [Just For Today] 1. Our welfare should come first, personal recovery depends on finding our personal truth and community support. 2. A healthy recovery community need work together and determine its path as honestly expressed by its members and their actions. 3 The only requirement for membership of a recovery community is a desire to live soberly. 4. Each recovery community is autonomous unless otherwise affiliated. 5. Each recovery community has this primary purpose - to carry the message of recovery to the still active alcoholic addict. 6. A recovery community ought never endorse, finance or lend its name to outside enterprise, to ensure recovery remains its primary purpose. 7. Each recovery community need be self supporting, declining outside contributions. 8. Recovery communities remain non professional, but may employ special workers. 9. Recovery communities ought never be organised, but can create sufficient administrative support directly responsible to those they serve. 10. Recovery communities have no opinion on outside issues and need not be drawn into matters outside the primary purpose. 11. Each member has a right to anonymity. Anonymity offers members the opportunity to continue their path to physical, emotional and spiritual recovery on a daily basis. Anonymity is a personal prerogative which helps members on the spiritual path of truth. 12. Openness, honesty and willingness is the spiritual path which offers recovery from alcohol addiction. Anonymity offers sanctuary for members to find their personal journey in recovery. Today I have life choices, something I had missed for a long time. This is a personal journey, I may share about AA, I never speak for AA, just for myself. Long may it be so a day at a time. DonInLondon - Day In The Life, one day at a time..

Desc: Can a suggestion be violated? Daily readings for March 4 2008 A reply follows to a concerned viewer - Violation of a Suggestion or a Tradition? As you know no doubt Bill W held the view that change was a necessary part of our fellowships growth, slavish adherence to words set in stone was the path to decay. Our fellowship is strong because it develops change in us all. Suggestions help us develop a path of recovery and strong sobriety. Bill W who outlasted Dr Bob listened with care to Bob's last words... And so the AA Fellowship continues to develop and change. My Videos are not about attacking AA principles or suggestions. My videos are about recovery and change. We are all human and can develop our outlook freely and without hindrance. We learn from the anvils of experience, long may our recovery be so. Don
