Desc: ► http://samharris.com/FF
Sam introduces you to Lisa Picotte, his friend Actress, Acting Coach and Mom to Vlog Person favorite, Gracie!
LISA PICOTTE began acting at the age of eight as a member of the nationally-acclaimed Rainbow Company Children's Theatre Ensemble in Las Vegas, NV. She was required to work on every show in the five-show season in some capacity, either onstage or behind the scenes. While she was a member, Rainbow Company was awarded the title Best Children's Theatre in the United States two years in a row. By the time she left the company, Lisa was a veteran of over 40 productions, including drama, comedy and musical theatre. Lisa went on to study at Los Angeles City College's Theatre Academy and began working professionally at the age of 18.
Lisa's film and television credits include regular and recurring roles on such series as His and Hers, Married with Children, Great Scott!, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and Dangerous Women, as well as guest roles on such series as The Closer, ER, The X-Files, The Fighting Fitzgeralds, Titus, Step by Step, Wings and Howe High. Film credits include roles in the soon-to-be-released Jekyll, The Earth vs. The Spider, Enchanted, Strange Days and The Homestead.
You may have seen her running down a grocery store aisle, scooping up packages of Quilted Northern Bathroom Tissue or serving up bowls of Dreyers Grand Ice Cream, as she has done dozens of national television commercials, including such other products as Western Union, Pizza Hut, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Nutri-system, and Zings, among others.
One of Lisa's favorite projects was creating and hosting the cult-favorite Internet series entitled Oh, For God's Sake, I Don't Get It!, episodes of which can still be seen at www.onlinevoice.com.
Lisa is the recipient of several critics' awards and nominations for her extensive work in Los Angeles legit and musical theatre, including such productions as Merrily We Roll Along, both at West Coast Ensemble and Reprise! (LA Weekly Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress), Company (Garland and Dramalogue Awards), A Quarrel of Sparrows (LA Weekly Award nominee), Music From Down the Hill (Dramalogue Award), and Quilters (Dramalogue Award), among many others. In addition to West Coast Ensemble, Lisa is also a member of the Musical Theatre Guild, having appeared in many of their productions, including I Can Get It For You Wholesale, Parade, Allegro, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Louisiana Purchase.
Lisa received a scholarship and studied Shakespeare at London's Royal National Theatre, and is currently writing a screenplay based on her recently-published short story Casino Eyes.
She currently lives in Los Angeles, and in her free time, like her actor-husband David Kaufman, is obsessed with games -- hearts, mah jong, Yahtzee, Michigan Rummy -- whatever -- it doesn't matter, as long as she wins! Her proudest achievement is being mother to daughter Gracie and son Henry Oliver.

Sam as Bridget's birth partner:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=jkCWUT4p_AM
In today's Friend Friday, Sam gabs with his dear friend, Bridget Moynahan about how they met, life, movies, leading men, and her new baby which Sam was the birth partner for.
Bridget was born in Binghamton, and grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, along with her two brothers, Andrew and Sean. She is the middle child. Her father is a scientist who is currently an administrator at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her mother is a former school teacher and can be seen with her daughter in a 2005 Comcast cable company television advertisement for the Boston area. Moynahan attended Longmeadow High School and graduated in 1989. In high school, she was active in school athletics, participating in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse.
She studied acting at the Caymichael Patten Studio in New York City. In 1999 she had her first big role (in a guest appearance) as Natasha in the TV series Sex and the City. Her breakthrough role in a feature film was as Rachel in Coyote Ugly a year later. Since then she has appeared on a number of blockbuster movies, such as The Sum of All Fears, The Recruit, Lord of War, and I, Robot. She most recently starred in the now cancelled television series Six Degrees.
As a model she was on many magazine covers, including Elle, Vogue, Self, Fitness, New Woman and Glamour. However, she didn't begin to pursue acting until after starting her modeling career. She has appeared on Maxim's Hot 100 list, as well as on the list for Top 99 Women of 2007.
Bridget gave birth to a baby boy, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, on August 22, 2007. Sam and Bridget attended classes to prepare for the birth and Sam acted as her birth partner through the labor and delivery.
Look for Bridget in the new ads for Diamonair jewelry!
The brand-new ad campaign reflects the celebrity jeweler's 40-year-old tradition, while giving a nod to iconic Hollywood glamour. Noted as pioneers of the simulated diamond, Diamonair jewelry can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue.
"Bridget was a natural choice for the campaign. Her beauty transcends time, evoking memories of Fellini films and paying tribute to Diamonair's history and revival," Streetwise Capital Partners CEO KAREEM SETHI.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Actress Taraji P. Henson, says the movie changed her life.
![]() |
Desc: Tis the season when Hollywood starts to argue about the Oscars. But one thing just about everybody is agreed upon: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the most highly anticipated film of the year. It stars Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button, a man who ages backwards, and Cate Blanchett as Daisy, the woman he loves and who loves him. The lavish epic, with a running time of just under three hours, is film-making on a grand scale, financed by two studios and costing north of $150m.
Its the third collaboration between the controversial director David Fincher and Pitt, who also starred in Se7en and Fight Club. The film, which covers a span of more than 80 years and ends in the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina, is very loosely based on a 1922 short story by F Scott Fitzgerald, which itself was inspired by a quote from Mark Twain: Life would be infinitely happier if only we could be born at the age of 80 and gradually approach 18.
Much of the anticipation comes from a carnival-attraction curiosity about seeing Hollywoods most beautiful actor aged to look both much older than his 44 years, and, more disconcertingly, much younger than the young man who first excited us 17 years ago in Thelma and Louise. The startling special effects are a marriage of old-fashioned make-up, modern prosthetics and ground-breaking computer-generated techniques that have never been used like this before.
During the film, which opens at the end of the first world war, Pitt ages by looking increasingly younger, starting his curious life as a baby with the physical characteristics — baldness, coarse skin, liver spots, cataracts, deafness and arthritis — of a very old man. He has all the deterioration, the infirmities, not of a newborn, but of a man well in his eighties on the way to his grave, says the doctor who delivers him.

Halle Berry walks the Razzie stage to accept her award for Worst Actress for Catwoman at the 25th annual Razzie Awards. Hilarious, touching, and classy.
"Exhibiting a wonderful sense of humor, and a delightful willingness to poke fun at herself and her big budget box office bomb, Berry became the first True Star ever to appear on the Razzie stage. As the Video Clips attest, her appearance brought the house down at The 25th Annual RAZZIES"
