Desc: This series entitled "His Beautiful Names", presents the Most Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala as found in the Quran and the Sunnah. Shaikh Dr. Suhaib Hasan, has relied on the verses of the Quran and the authentic Hadith of the Prophet [Peace be upon him] and, from these Ayat of Qur'an and Ahadith has given us to experience the Glory and Greatness of Allah Azza Wa Jall, and to derive many lessons and benefits from His Beautiful Names. In this 7th episode, Shaikh Dr. Suhaib Hasan talks about the names: Al-Fattaah (The Opener, The Reliefer, The Deliverer, The Judge) & Al-Aleem (The All-knowing); as Allah Azza Wa Jall Says: "Say, 'Our Lord will bring us together; then He will judge between us in truth. And He is the Knowing Judge.'" [Surah Sabaa, Ayat 26] "Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." [Surah Fatir, Ayat 2] "So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe. And this is the path of your Lord, [leading] straight. We have detailed the verses for a people who remember. For them will be the Home of Peace with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do." [Surah Al-An'aam, Ayat 125-127] "Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator." [Surah Al-Hijr, 86] "And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record. And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do. And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties]. Then they His servants are returned to Allah, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgment, and He is the swiftest of accountants. Say, 'Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.' Say, 'It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him.' Say, 'He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another.' Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand." [Surah Al-An'aam, Ayat 59-65] Allah opens the stores of His mercy for people. Mercy can come in many different forms: guidance, knowledge, profit, health, substance and deliverance from evil and hardship. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In these times when human beings live out their lives in abject state of fear, anxiety and misery as a result of the material and secular outlook which dominates their lives, there is the need to turn back to our Creator and learn from His Book, The Qur'an and from the Sunnah of His Prophet [PBUH] to get the Guidance for our salvation in this life and the Hereafter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Shaikh Dr. Suhaib Hasan Shaikh Suhaib Hasan was born in India but brought up and educated in Pakistan. After completing Islamic and Arabic studies (Fadil Arabic, 1960) and English language studies (B.A. 1962), he joined the newly-set-up Islamic University at Madinah, Saudi Arabia for higher studies in the faculty of Sharia. Here he studied under a galaxy of prominent scholars such as Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, Muhammad Amin al-Shanqiti, Muhammad Nasiruddin al-Albani and later his father Sheikh Abdul Ghaffar Hasan. After graduating in 1966, he began his career as a teacher and worker in Islamic Dawa at Nairobi, Kenya on behalf of Darul Ifta. In 1976, he moved to London where he engaged in Islamic Dawa especially through the forum of Al-Quran Society. Currently he is the chairman of Masjid & Madrasah al-Tawhid Trust and Secretary of the Islamic Sharia Council of Great Britain.

Desc: Azan From Al Aqsa Azan - The Call For Prayers In The Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Azan is the call to prayer. The Azan is uttered in a loud, sweet melodious, voice to announce to the faithful that it is time for the Obligatory Prayer and to invite them to offer the prayers. Those who perform Azan are known as 'Muezzin.' The honour of being the first Muezzin goes to Hazrat Bilal, a black slave who converted to Islam. He had a very sweet, resonant and musical voice. He was appointed as Muezzin by the Prophet of Islam. The appointment of a black slave as the first person to call Muslims for prayers, shows that in Islam all human beings are treated as equals. Rich or poor, black or white, short or tall - all are equal in the eyes of Allah. It is the piety of each individual that makes the difference. Azan is recited in a loud voice by the Muezzin facing the direction of the Ka'ba in the following words, which are said in the order mentioned: "Allahu Akbar" - recited FOUR times. Meaning, "Allah is Most Great."(four times) "Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill-Allah" - recited TWO times. Meaning, "I bear witness that there is none worthy of being worshipped except Allah."(twice) "Ash-hadu anna Muhammad-ar-Rasoolullah" - recited TWO times. Meaning, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah."(recited twice) "Hayya 'alas-Salah" - recited TWO times. Meaning, "Come to prayer."(turning the face alone to the right and saying it twice) "Hayya 'alal-falah" - recited TWO times. Meaning, "Come to Success."(turning the face alone to the left and saying it twice) "Allahu Akbar" - recited TWO times. Meaning, "Allah is Most Great" (face back to front and saying it two times). Morning (Fajr) Prayers The following phrase is added after "Hayya 'alal-falah" in the Azan of the early morning prayers: "As-salatu khairum minannaum" - recited Two times. Meaning, "Prayer is better than sleep" (recited two times).
