Egypt gives Israel Permission to Attacks Gaza
![]() |
Desc: Thousands of people in the Arab world have attended rallies to express anger at Israel's air raids on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
Protesters burned Israeli and American flags in a string of Arab cities and demanded a stronger response from their leaders to Israel's "aggression".
In Egypt protests were organised by the Muslim Brotherhood, allies of Hamas.
Lebanon's Hezbollah movement, which fought a brief war with Israel in 2006, called on its fighters to be on alert.
In an address relayed to supporters in Beirut, the head of the Shia movement, Hassan Nasrallah urged those in southern Lebanon to remain vigilant in case of Israeli attacks.
"We have asked our brothers in the resistance in the south to be available and alert because we face a criminal and treacherous enemy," Nasrallah was quoted by the AFP news agency as saying.
"We are ready to face any aggression on our land, our country or our dignity," he added.
Hezbollah fought a 34-day war with Israel in 2006, in which more than 1,125 Lebanese, most of them civilians, died in Israeli attacks.
Around 160 Israelis, mostly soldiers, died in the conflict.
Widespread anger
Big demonstrations were held in several Arab countries in response to what many in the region see as unjustified Israeli aggression against their Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip.
More than 50,000 demonstrated in Egyptian cities on Sunday, the AFP news agency reported.
Security officials said the biggest protest was in the southern city of Asyut.
They were led by the Islamist opposition in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood, the group from which Hamas first emerged.
The BBC's Christian Fraser in Cairo says the Brotherhood regards Hamas members as their spiritual brothers.
Many Palestinian emigres took part in the rallies in Lebanon, Iraq and Syria.
In the centre of the Syrian capital Damascus protesters, incensed at Israel's bombing campaign, waved green flags of the Hamas militant movement alongside Palestinian, Syrian and yellow Hezbollah flags, AFP reported.
Thousands also attended a pro-Palestinian demonstration in the Jordanian capital Amman, and there were rallies in many of Jordan's overcrowded refugee camps, home to thousands of displaced Palestinians. |

The Lord is wanting us to see this for a reason.
His decision to abandon his Muslim faith, denounce his father's organization, move to America and become a Christian is more then most American Christians would do.
Lets get together and pray for this awesome young man, he is a true rider for the Lord!!!
We defiantly need to pray for this guy.

Female suicide bomber kils 38 Shia pilgrims
![]() |
Desc: A female suicide bomber has killed at least 35 Shia pilgrims including 16 Iranians near a shrine in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, police say.
As many as 72 people were injured in the blast, in the Kadhimiya area of the Iraqi capital, where pilgrims were gathering for a religious ceremony.
There were fears that the death toll would rise.
Processions of Shia pilgrims across Iraq have been targeted by Sunni insurgents in the past.
Police said the suicide bomber detonated her device at a checkpoint outside the Imam Moussa al-Kadhim shrine on Sunday.
"A woman wearing an explosive vest managed to reach one of the security checkpoints near the revered Kadhim shrine and exploded herself among a crowd of pilgrims," Iraqi security official Qassim Moussawi said.
Many of the victims were women and children, another security official told the AFP news agency.
The blast happened at about 1100 (0800 GMT) as pilgrims were preparing for the Ashura commemorations to mourn the death of Imam Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, in the 7th Century.
This year, Ashura falls on Wednesday 7 January, but tens of thousands of pilgrims are already flocking to shrines across Iraq.
Hundreds of thousands are expected in Karbala later this week.
Sunday's attack in Baghdad was the second in the area in nine days. At least 17 people were killed in a car bomb in late December.
On Friday, at least 23 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack at a gathering of Sunni Muslim leaders south of Baghdad.
About 110 people were also injured in Yusufiya, 20km (12 miles) from Baghdad.
Sectarian violence in Baghdad has declined over the past year, but religious festivals or ceremonies remain times of heightened tension, the BBC's Caroline Wyatt in Baghdad says.
The worst attacks during Ashura came in 2004, when 170 people were killed and many more hurt in two separate bombings in Kadhimiya and Karbala, presaging the wave of sectarian violence which later swept the country, our correspondent adds.
Iraqi security forces say they are deploying more forces to both sites to keep pilgrims safe. |
Response: Allah is liar (nouzbilla)-Barelvi lie exposed 2/3
![]() |
Desc: Fataawa Rashidiyya pg. 90: 'That person who believes or utters with the tongue concerning Allah Taãla that "He spoke a lie", is positively a Kaafir, an accursed and opposed to the Qurãn, Hadith and the unanimity of the Ummah. He is definitely not a Mu'min. Taãlallaahu ammaa yaqoolu dhaalimoona oluwwan kabeeraa. (Allah is far above from what the transgressors are saying).'
The misrepresenter, besides being involved with misrepresentation, has earned the wrath of Allah. Let the Hadith of the Master of the Green Dome once again ring in his ears. 'A person does not target another with impiety or a person does not target another with Kufr, but it returns to the former if the latter is not guilty of it.' (Bukhari) |
