Desc: The great orchestra featured in this post was an Edison house band, led by Melville Morris. It has nothing to do with its contemporary, homonym band led by Al Starita, recording for Columbia. Extremely little, or should I say nothing, is known about the Edison band. Even regarding leader Melville neither biographical data nor pictures are available. This is strange, since he knew a certain success as a composer (his best known song might be the Kangaroo Hop, sheet music shown). I couldn't identify any personnel, I only found the recording date (May 23rd, 1928).

Song: "Disco Lies" is the first single in Europe released by electronica artist Moby from his 2008 album Last Night. The song was released as a single onto the US iTunes store on January 21, 2008.
