Desc: A montage of video clips and pictures of United Khmer Students' KORE program at UCLA. The video first premiered at UKS' 11th Annual Culture Show on April 19, 2008.
KORE (Khmer Outreach Retention Education) was started by United Khmer Students of UCLA in 2003 to address the low rate of Khmer youth graduating from high school and lacking numbers of the Khmer people in higher education
KORE's College Tour is an annual event where high school students are bused over to the UCLA campus where they meet and participate with UKS in workshops concerning basic college information.
KORE's Mentorship Program was established during 2006-2007 and was successful in educating and assisting Khmer youth towards higher education. UKS mentors are paired with high school students from Long Beach during this year-long program (Millikan, Wilson, Poly). The program serves to assist both at-risk and excelling Khmer students to not only graduate from high school but to consider higher education as a priority.

Bevel Up: Drugs, Users and Outreach Nursing (Biseau vers le haut) is an educational kit (including a DVD, subtitled in French, with special features and a bilingual Teaching Guide) created to share knowledge not found in nursing schools and teaching hospitals. It shows how registered nurses working with the BC Centre for Disease Control's Street Nurse Program provide health care to the people living in the alleys and hotels of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
Designed and produced by the street nurses themselves in collaboration with community members, Bevel Up offers instructors and students access to the experience of an entire community of health care practitioners who work with drug using populations.
Bevel Up: Drugs, Users, and Outreach Nursing (Biseau vers le haut) is a co-production of the Street Nurse Program of the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control and the National Film Board of Canada with financial support from Health Canada and the BC Nurses Union. Created in collaboration with Canada Wild Productions Ltd.

Hey everyone! Since I've been hearing so much about the "2008 Project for Awesome" event, I decided to create and share a charity video short for YouTube as well. Hope you enjoy it!
This charity video short is a video documentary on the outreach ministry that my church youth group does every Saturday for the past five years. We visit the nursing homes in our area and give out inspiration and happiness to the elderly through our talents in music.

Nottingham Church Outreach Event

Desc: Outreach Event in Nottingham Church on Sunday 22 June 2008
REPORT
The weather was extra fine when we left for Nottingham on Sunday 22 June, a little windy but sunny and perfect for the event. This day was special for the believers in Nottingham and we were all looking forward to it. We were going to be handing out leaflets and a free CD which contains seven inspirational messages of the prophet and sharing the Word with the people of this city. Many times we as message believers don't realise what a treasure we posses-The Message-and we tend to keep it to ourselves. This was a day to share this treasure with the people of Nottingham. We would like to thank Brother Tichaona, our deacon in Sheffield who graced us with his presence.
To begin with, Brother Joe read from Mark 16:15 and he explained in brief how the gospel must be spread to all nations as Jesus commanded. This is End Time Evangelism. He said, spreading the gospel to every 'creature' means you have to be able to communicate to that 'creature'. Different creatures have different modes and ways of understanding communication. So he stressed that we have to adjust our mode of communication to match the kind of 'creatures' we are preaching to.
Together we packed the CD's and leaflets and we were ready to take the message to the streets! We split ourselves into two groups and we went separate ways. The believers joyfully moved from house to house slipping the leaflets through the doors and on meeting someone in the street. They greeted them kindly and offered them the free CD while I took a few pictures which you will see below. If someone had a little time, the believer would explain a little more about the Message of the Hour.
The response was great because in no time at all, the CD's and the leaflets had all been given away. All Praise is to God!
We assembled together at the end of the distribution and while we fellowshipped and shared our different experiences. We thanked God for his help. We also enjoyed some refreshments notable to mention were the freshly baked cookies that Sr. Rose made for us. We have done our part now we leave it in God's hands.
Special thanks go to Pastor Andrew Marais of Dublin Christian Fellowship in Ireland for making the free CD's available to us. May God bless him richly.
Sr Rejoice
